videos, 6 min, Mateusz Pitala, Monika Raźny
The work consists of tw o videos. Both captured in Genoa, Italy in 2019. T hey present fragments of the landscape, portraying presentness. They document the traces left by a man in the landscape.
They are both presented in slow motion to underline the dimension of time, the lasting and durability of what we look at. They are almost still, presenting hardly any motion, appearing to be photographies. The motion captured in them appears only after a careful look. All the existing motion comes fr om what is alive in the images. W hat is created by man stays still.
What do we leave behind us? What would stay here if we are gone now? How do the geese feel about it?
