apple dinner is a participatory food installation. It consists of dishes made with apples. It refers to Slavic, pre-Christian seasonal celebrations, such as the Slavic Apple Spas, and other harvest celebrations common in many cultures. These traditions often included communal work to gather the harvest and sharing of seasonal produce within the community members, as well as gratitude rituals for the Earth and non-human actors.
